LangBlitz is committed to keeping your data minimal, purposeful, and protected. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
LangBlitz is a language learning application operated by EmbraceExponentials Inc., registered in Québec, Canada under the operating name "L'Atelier exponentiel". This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and process your information when you use the LangBlitz app, website, and related services.
We collect information generated through normal use of the service: lesson progress, completed lessons, learning streaks, vocabulary activity, feature interactions, and session data. We also collect technical information, including device identifiers, app version, operating system version, language settings, and approximate region. We do not collect sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
When you use AI-powered features, we may collect and store your prompts, AI-generated responses, correction history, and interaction metadata. This data is used to operate and improve those features. Please do not submit sensitive, personal, or confidential information through AI conversations.
We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the app and website. Analytics data may include feature usage, lesson completion rates, retention patterns, and diagnostic information. This data is used in aggregate to improve the product. PostHog is configured without cookies; analytics data is stored locally on your device and transmitted to PostHog servers in the United States.
LangBlitz uses AI services provided by OpenAI and Anthropic to power language learning features. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors. All AI output is for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
We use Cloudflare for infrastructure and lesson data delivery, with servers primarily in the United States and Canada. We use PostHog for analytics, with data processed primarily in the United States. We use OpenAI and Anthropic to power AI features, with data processed in the United States. Third-party providers receive only the data necessary to perform their function and are held to confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, improve our systems, maintain backups, and comply with legal obligations. Anonymised or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption in transit and provider-level access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@langblitz.app. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law, including Québec's Act to Modernize Privacy Protection (Law 25). The Privacy Officer responsible for personal information at LangBlitz can be reached at the same address.
LangBlitz is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us at support@langblitz.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of LangBlitz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
